After last week's sprint at Google, the first alpha of Python 3.0 is available. This is the release that breaks backward compatibility in order to get rid of some warts---not enough and not enough for some people, but it's still a big step forward for the languages. Kudos to all ...

We held the post-mortem for the summer's projects yesterday. It went well---the summer, I mean, not just the post-mortem. Here are the main points:
Good

Industry/prof visits
Learned a lot (group work)

Excellent office space

The Toronto Public Library's Merril Collection is the largest circulating collection of science fiction and fantasy in the world. The Friends of the Merril are having a flea market on Saturday, Sept 8, at the Toronto Reference Library. Bring your own shopping bags... ;-)
