Very true. You have to wonder why we still have this farce of an institution called High School. If it were to be abolished, the smart kids will have no problem learning on their own, and the remaining kids can have more time to party
But no, we create an atmosphere that stifles innovation, individuality, and creativity. Tin foil hat time, but that is exactly what a corporate-run world wants — easily led automatons.
